DONATE TO SIGNATURE SERVICE PROGRAMS

CWJF sponsors two signature programs.  Below is a brief description of each of those programs. These programs are solely supported by CWJF and operated without help from other organizations.  You can choose to donate funds to help maintain our signature programs by selecting from the programs listed in the dropdown box below.  Then enter the amount of your donation.

Baxter the Bookworm is an advocacy reading program for preschoolers.  In this presentation, Baxter the Bookworm acts as “master of ceremonies”.  During the program, a CWJF volunteer reads a book to the children and dresses as a character in the book.  After the reading, the children make a simple craft and eat a snack provided by CWJF. At the end of the event, CWJF awards a copy of the book as a door prize.

BookSmart- CWJF members visit Title I schools and present a play for 2nd grade students.  The play acts out the book, Bubba, the Cowboy Prince, and each student is presented with a hard back copy of the book.  The goal is to enhance an interest in reading for students and give them an oportunity to own their very own book.

Forum Friends- This is a program for seniors where we provide lunch, entertainment and fellowship once a month at each of the following locations: Forum Friends Lakewood, Forum Friends Tomball, Forum Friends Trinity and Forum Friends Harvestwood.  Each month we serve over 500 seniors.
Your donation helps fund the entertainment, bingo prizes and the meal.  You may donate to the Forum Friends program in general or to a designated Forum Friends site.

**A minimum donation of $20 is required for credit card use.
